The Real Beck

Beckett all of the sudden has a love for the camera. He will tell me to take a picture whenever he is doing something he thinks is pretty cool and worthy of a photograph. I have been waiting for the day that he would look at the camera and smile. So here he is, that little ham!

 

So this is the real Beckett we know and love. ALL smiles, all the time. He talks up a storm, laughs and smiles all day. I'm glad he finally lets me capture it on camera :)

Playing with Cousins!

Baby Donovan came to hang out with us this morning while my sister had a meeting at work. Beckett LOVES playing with his baby cousins, and they are great practice for when our new baby comes in a few months. Hopefully he likes his new sibling as much as he likes Donovan and Arya! If so, all will be good.

We started off the morning with a long walk, the weather is beautiful!

 Stopped by the playground to let this monkey play. He was showing me how he swings from the bar above the slide. No fear.

 

Giving baby Donovan a bottle. He fed him 3.5 ounces and held the bottle perfect the whole time. He was so proud!

Beckett and his cousin Arya a few weeks ago, she was giving him tons of smiles!

He will be such a sweet big brother! All these babies are perfect for preparing him to be the best one he can be!

Beck's Birthday!

On Beckett's 2nd Birthday we took the boys out to breakfast, then to a beautiful park close to our house. It was a perfect day, for such a perfect boy. He always has the most beautiful birthdays. I always wished I had a Spring birthday, it is fun now to celebrate his every Spring!

How is he TWO already?! Time does fly when your having lots of fun!

Baby No. 3!!!

In August, our family will be welcoming another sweet baby!!!

Many of you have known this for several months now, but I have yet to post anything on the blog! I did add the pregnancy ticker a while ago, so some of you seasoned bloggers probably noticed that :)

We are overjoyed and so excited to add another little one to our growing family. The day Beckett was born, I said I wanted another baby when he was two. I don't think many people believed me, but Greg did. He knows my heart, my love for being a mom. It was no surprise to him when I brought up having another one when Beckett turned one. A tiny bit because my baby wasn't a baby anymore, and mostly because I saw the growing interest he had in interacting with Truitt. He needed someone to play with, and as a mom that was my sign. We waited a few months, and at the perfect time I found out I was pregnant. It was three days before Christmas!

I have been blessed again with an easy pregnancy. I hope and pray that it continues to go smoothly and that we will welcome a healthy baby into our arms in a little over three months. We chose not to find out the sex of the baby, so it will be a surprise! We knew before I was even pregnant this time that we never wanted to find out the sex ahead of time. There is nothing better than finding out in the moment, when they are placed in your arms. When your eyes can look into theirs and soak up the newness of finding out if it's a boy, or a girl.

Now, because everyone always asks, I have no idea what it is! I don't feel strongly one way or the other. I expect it to be a boy, because all I know is boy. After two boys, it's hard to imagine a little girl will ever come out of me! I feel the exact same as I did with the boys when I was pregnant with them. The baby is still breech, so I feel lots of dancing on my bladder. If it is a boy dancing in there, Greg already knows that if we have all boys one of them WILL dance :) It's only fair.

Now hopefully summer goes by fast. I've never been good at patiently waiting, and nine months is a LONG TIME! :)

We Have A Nephew!

This perfect, beautiful, tiny 4 pound little boy joined our family two weeks ago today.

His name is Donovan. He is our first nephew and my sister's first baby!

I am in heaven with a tiny newborn to hold and love. He will tie me over until August :)

Truitt was so happy when he held his baby cousin. Beckett wanted nothing to do with holding him, but preferred to enjoy him from a distance.

Proud Grandma and Grandpa and their newest grandson, Donovan. They have a heart full of love for three little boys now after never having one of their own!
