We took Truitt into the pediatrician today to get some advice on feeding tips. For now we are going to try Similac Isomil (soy formula) for a week to see how he does. If he doesn't seem to improve and take the bottle better with that we will switch him to Alimentum, which is a hypoallergenic formula for "high-maintenance" babies, as Greg and I like to call them. It is very costly but if it works, its worth every penny.
She also says that it may just be behavioral. He may be refusing the bottle because he knows that his baby food is much tastier. Typical male. As far as the constipation she recommends we try oatmeal without iron and any food beginning with a P, including prunes, plums, peaches and pears. I gave him some prunes this morning and a little pear juice, it did seem to help. Thanks Melissa and Amy for the advice!

He was fussy because he wanted his friends Ellie and Louie....who wouldn't they are adorable...look how happy he is now :) He knows exactly what he wants you just have to figure out what it is LOL. Someday he will be able to tell you and that will solve all the problems !
Lauren,
I know what you are talking about. Bryan was the most collicky baby. I/We thought we were going to pull our hair out. Did you try Simethocone drops? It helped Jacob a lot; didn't know about them with Bryan. Some of this must be hereditary...Bryan lived on prunes as a baby. Hang in there.
Look how adorble he is.

GOOD LUCK WIT DAT!! LOL
